Mistakes are Opportunities

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

When a person close to me has a problem it can disturb my peace. If I give unsolicited advice to that person to change in some way, it is not about them, it is about me. It is how I feel and what I need to do for that person to restore my peace. If I am doing something for another to change or help them I am moving into the land of manipulation which is usually a mistake.

But that mistake is the opportunity for awareness of my intention and awareness of what is disturbing my peace. It is the opportunity for another take. It should be done for me, done for my peace, done because it is who I am, not to change another. Mistakes are the opportunity to become more aware of my self.

What we can do for others is not to judge them and try to change them but to “Hold the Vision” for their highest good without telling them. This gives us the opportunity to shut up, send positive energy to that person and move on.

The Perfection

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

The Perfection of the Universe is shortened to “The Perfection” for ease of expression.

The Perfection is both theory and technique.
The theory is “The Perfection” asserts that the universe was created by a perfect deity and is therefore perfect. Everything that we judge as wrong and bad are simply part of the larger perfection of the universe. We are part of it. I am perfect and so are you just the way we are. We are all star dust.
The technique is the practice of finding and joining The Perfection, which creates it.
Our job on this earth is to find our way home, to find a way to embrace, love and not judge all parts of the universe. To simply accept The Perfection. It is all right just the way it is.

The Perfection is a principle that seems to be impossible to prove or disprove through the lens of science which is radical materialism. Proof is not needed when a leap of faith to that belief, will manifest The Perfection in your life. Faith and fear cannot be measured or weighed and remain outside the domain of science.
The perfection can work as an article of faith without proof, and practicing it can yield health, happiness and harmony. This faith provides the opportunity to give one’s self fully to every endeavor, enhancing the entire life experience.

The Perfection is manifested as love, universal love – loving as the universe does (as seen in nature), embracing and enfolding everything. Every process, event or circumstance is to be joined and embraced completely. The practice of the perfection of the universe allows one to see every situation as part of The Perfection.

Peace is the outcome of joining The Perfection. No matter what you are doing, you are doing it as part of the one. You cannot do otherwise. The awareness of this provides comfort, connection and love. Forgetting this connection leads to separation, fear and discomfort. Even the learning process of the denial of the perfection is part of it. If the universe is perfect so is everything and every moment. So the approach is to value and cherish every activity every second of existence. To join with the moment, to completely absorb and be completely absorbed by it.

The Perfection of the universe manifests most completely in the now. If I bleed fully into every moment the perfection manifests, there are no regrets or second guessing.

The Zumba Adventure

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

I need a Zumba instructor for Hanscom AFB in Bedford MA at the Fitness Center. I’ve been trying to find someone on the Zumba site where you can send email to certified instructors. It seems to be a slow tedious process with a low percentage of responses and no positive responses. So I will persist. It might be less time consuming to get the certification myself and teach the class. Too bad it is not on my path.

Getting Stuck on the Spiritual Path

Monday, May 25th, 2009

Things tend to happen in my life which seem to knock me off my path. So called bad things can interfere with my spiritual growth. If the universe is perfect, why does this happen?

Say I get sick, or lose my job, or any number of things which upset a certain stability in my life. Where has the perfection gone?

The perfection is still there. I have fallen into the trap of judging the events in my life as bad or even good. Life should be embraced completely and fully in all circumstances without judgement. When bad things happen, I have judged the situation as bad. When good things happen I have judged things as good. Both situations are traps or “learning experiences”. The goal is to join the perfection of my life. Avoiding things judged as bad and seeking things judged as good, may not be the best strategy for living my life. So, then how do I find my way?

What I look for is what is on my path. My path is determined by my intuitive guidance of what feels right for me to do. Sometimes it is better to do something painful but feels right than painless but feels wrong. The difference is subtle. My attitude is that my priority is to progress spiritually, every day begins with a meditation.

For me the trick is to be aware. Is something harmful or harmless? And wait for the intuitive guidance. Wait in the moment. Is it on my path or off my path? If I am not sure, wait. When in doubt, don’t.
Be in the moment. If you are grieving, fully grieve your grief. If you are sad, be sad. If you are happy, be happy.
